NATIONAL GEO-SPATIAL PLATFORM
- The platform aims to strengthen India’s geospatial data ecosystem under the vision of the National Geospatial Policy, 2022, making foundational geospatial data and services widely available for governance, research, industry, and citizens.
- It will act as a unified digital infrastructure to aggregate, harmonize, and disseminate authoritative geospatial data across India.
- Data covered will include Ortho-Rectified Imagery, Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Administrative Boundaries, Geodetic Reference Frame, Geographical Names, among others.
- Key components of the platform include:
- Geospatial Data integration & dissemination System,
- Integrated Geospatial Application Interface (IGAI),
- Spatial Data Registry (SDR) for metadata management, and Scalable & Reliable Infrastructure.
