Shyok Tunnel (Ladakh)
You need to add a widget, row, or prebuilt layout before you’ll see anything here. 🙂
• It is a 920-metre Cut and Cover tunnel built on the Darbuk–Shyok–Daulat Beg Oldie (DSDBO) Road in Ladakh.
• It is constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in one of the world’s most challenging high-altitude terrains.
• The tunnel ensures all-weather, reliable connectivity to remote border areas and forward military locations.
• It improves military mobility, rapid deployment and logistics, especially during harsh winters with heavy snowfall and avalanches.
• The project strengthens last-mile connectivity and enhances national security along India’s northern borders.
