• India Ports Global Limited (IPGL), under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, is the Government of India’s arm to operate International Ports. 
• IPGL was incorporated under the Companies Act 2013 as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) jointly promoted by Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust and Deendayal Port Trust (earlier Kandla Port Trust)
• At present, IPGL operates Shahid Beheshti Port in the Province of the Sistan-Baluchistan of the Chabahar, Iran, and Sittwe Port in Myanmar.
