About
- “Raising and Accelerating MSME Productivity (RAMP)” is a Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises to scale up the implementation capacity and coverage of MSMEs with impact enhancement of existing MSME schemes.
- Launched in 2022, RAMP is a World Bank-assisted program which aims at strengthening institutions and governance at the Centre and State, improving access of MSMEs to market and credit, technology upgradation and addressing issues of delayed payments.
- RAMP also aims at promoting Centre-State collaboration by providing grants to States for preparation of Strategic Investment Plan (SIP), which is a roadmap developed by the respective State/UT for development of the MSME sector in the State.
- The total outlay for the scheme is USD 808 Million, out of which USD 500 Million would be a loan from the World Bank and the remaining USD 308 Million would be funded by the Government of India (GoI).
