About
- Representing more than 110 National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) (including India), their members and staff across all regions, the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) is one of the largest human rights networks worldwide.
- Established in 1993, the Head Office of GANHRI is in Geneva.
- GANHRI aims to positively influence the substantive outcomes of international human rights mechanisms and processes by bringing the voices and experiences of NHRIs into global discussions.
- GANHRI is recognised, and is a trusted partner, of the United Nations. It has established strong relationships with the UN Human Rights Office, UNDP and other UN agencies, as well as with other international and regional organisations, NGOs, civil society and academia.
