• To strengthen e-Governance in Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) across the country, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) has launched eGramSwaraj portal.
• It is a user-friendly web-based portal. 
• eGramSwaraj aims to bring in better transparency in the decentralised planning, progress reporting and work-based accounting.

Why in News?

• The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has released state-wise details of number of Gram Panchayats in the country that have prepared their development plans, number of activities planned and number of activities completed for the financial year 2022-23 as per the information provided by Panchayats on eGramSWARAJ application.
