About INTERPOL
- INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organisation, with 192 member countries.
- Created in 1923, it facilitates cross-border police cooperation, and supports and assists all organisations, authorities and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime.
- Interpol aims to promote the widest-possible mutual assistance between criminal police forces and to establish and develop institutions likely to contribute to the prevention and suppression of international crime.
- Headquartered in Lyon, France, it is the only police organization that spans the entire globe.
