How to Learn Anything FASTER
How to Learn Anything FASTER
Roman Saini
Most of us are very slow at learning even if we have immense potential to learn faster. This is because of the lack of strategy that we can use in learning. The learning methodology is outdated especially in India, it has not changed for many decades. Therefore, the first thing to learn is how to learn properly. These practical tips will help you to learn any skills or knowledge much quicker than before.
- Divide your goals into microscopic capsules.
This is the first step to make anything learn faster. Consider the examples of X and Y. X has the goal of learning about the whole universe, Y has the target of learning the eight planet sequence from the sun. X has the goal of losing weight while for Y it is a goal to exercise daily for 30 minutes. We can easily say that it is Y who has the better chance for achieving the goal because of how specific and actionable it is. Therefore, it is important to divide your goals into small capsules and check your progress each day. This can easily make you achieve your targets at a faster pace.
2. Be Specific
It is important to develop your brain as it can open the world of opportunities and chances. It is the brain that helps you learn things. Invest time in reading books, attending seminars, and workshops related to your goals. Improvement in scientific technology has improved the scope for learning. Online lectures, YouTube sessions and other knowledge portals are also beneficial in developing the resource pool and therefore making it easy for you to learn things.
It is also recommended that you have multiple sessions of smaller duration than one of larger duration.
This is applicable in learning or practicing anything whether it be anything like reading, doing exercise, learning instruments etc. When you practice things daily, it is easy and is much more effective than doing things once in a while for five or six hours. This is because the neuronal networks which are called synopsis are making constant changes in the brain. Therefore, doing or learning things constantly and through repetition is more productive than one marathon session. Have a mentor
It is always better to have a mentor to watch, guide and understand your progress. It is through them that we understand our weakness which we might generally fail to see. Guru or our mentor will make us understand our weaknesses and offer steps to rectify them.
3. Have passion for the things you do
It is important to be passionate about the things you do in life. The external motivations cannot help you in doing things. Doing things forcefully will make you bored and there is a high chance that you give up without learning anything. Always giving importance to the ends without enjoying what you do will not provide the best results. Having a strong passion can motivate, guide, strengthen and will help in overcoming the obstacles that come your way.
There are many ways to become successful and it varies from person to person. One method suitable for one may not be suitable for another. It is the result that finally matters. So always try to employ the strategies that suit you best. This can make you learn things at a much faster pace and is more likely to be successful.
