Time plays a vital role in everyone’s life. There are so many things to be done within a day. Firstly, one should do important things in the morning and not urgent things. One should avoid postponing important things as there is always time to do what one wants to do. Doing things that one cares for requires self-motivation. Starting a day by doing things that a person likes makes the day joyful.
Early mornings are the best time to nurture careers, relationships, and personal dreams. Nurturing career isn’t about responding to emails but giving attention to activities that one rarely has time for on a normal day. Followed by careers are relationships. Mornings give a perfect opportunity to spend time with loved ones, like having breakfast together to build a good relationship with each other. Since mornings are calm one can spend some time in self-care like exercise, reading, or writing.
Most of us are tempted to grab some extra sleep in the mornings. Such distractions can be overcome by changing the morning routine. The first step is to track time and second is to picture an ideal morning. This allows one to envision how things could be different. Next is logistics, where one should jot down the things done in a day and make necessary changes. If one wants extra time for breakfast, then one should spend 5 minutes for a shower instead of 15 minutes. The next step is to create new habits to change old habits. The final step is fine-tuning i.e. to make small adjustments to the routine and follow it.
The next lesson is planning weekends. Weekends are a break for rejuvenation. Mostly, people spend it watching TV or on social media which is not a recreational use of time. So, one should plan for weekends ahead of time and not on Saturday mornings. One can plan most of their day around their preparation but allot time to ask others, co-ordinate, and have a fantastic weekend with family and friends. By planning an ideal weekend, one is refreshed and ready for the week ahead.
As the week proceeds, one can become busy with their study. People overestimate things that they don’t like and underestimate things that they like. For instance, studying a subject that you find tedious seems to take long hours but having hours doesn’t seem enough when you like a subject. The former feels like an unpleasant activity while everyone likes the latter. Therefore, one should learn to keep a log of hours spent in work in a spreadsheet or any app which will give an overview of the day. This helps one to optimize time management. Keeping track of time allows one to plan the week wisely making iit easy to study according to the syllabus and covering portions that need consistent revision.
The next is to plan for success. Small goals that are motivating leads to success. The next is accountability. Here, sharing one’s aim with others helps one to get better by receiving advice from them. Just ensure it is suited to your needs.Then one should remove tasks that are distracting and focus on important tasks.
All this advice is pointless if you do not practice it. Practice leads to improvement and good results. When one puts all these techniques into practice, it will enable them to lead a happy life. The more attentive to success, the happier one is.
Proper time management reduces the stress level and makes the work productive. When work is productive, one can think about the progress made and be happy. Therefore, the best key to success is to take track of time and use it efficiently. Time is precious so make the best use of it. Time once wasted will not come back, so make use of time effectively.
